And background information on the project:

The Club Children's Hope Home supports two unique children's homes near the Kenyan capital Nairobi: More than 100 Children live there. Since 1996 they are supplied exclusively by loving home mother, Lucy Ndegwa and her family. Starting point and base their actions on Lucy and her husband Duncan is the charity. Financial support is only expected from a small club in Germany and private initiatives in the United States and Canada. Other family members in Kenya control the homes in financially.

The background of the children is diverse. About half of the children who fought for life in the home on the streets of Nairobi for survival. Here is a hot meal for the street children the exception. Their 20. Birthday experience the fewest; Rapes of girls under 10 Years are commonplace. Gang violence and police brutality shape the lives of boys and girls as soon as they can walk and talk. Hard drugs like glue, Alcohol and cannabis often eat the tiny, begged assets of the street children. Without these drugs freeze or starve the desperate children. Adequate meals, of course, the money is not enough, to mention shelter and clothing all. State institutions do not exist and private initiatives are hopelessly overloaded. Lucy Search, who herself spent part of her life in the slum, and their supporters have already done it several times, To give children with this in mind, a future: Food, Drogenentzug, Shelter, Donation, the feeling of sheltered life and education.

Another part of the children are those without families, because they were swept away by the AIDS epidemic. Some of the kids are also affected by the HIV virus. Others are orphans or can no longer be cared for by their families, and yet at home.

Children's Hope Home has been supporting 2006 the Ndegwas financially, so as to ensure an adequate education and provision of food and clean drinking water. The objectives of Lucy Ndegwa remain innovative and ambitious: Currently, she is planning a magnification of the home, because the capacity has been exhausted. They will especially provide space for new street children, to be rehabilitated then separated from the other under the supervision of social and health services in a purpose-built home. In addition, two of her pupils want from January 2015 the University costly games visit - something extraordinary in Kenya! Not counting 650 Euro costs the semester. This money is missing the Ndegwas currently still, so we would appreciate a donation extremely!
